Bow Shackles

The steel screw pin bow shackle joins a strap to a recovery point, or a tree trunk protector to a winch line.

What we stock

Wild Dog 4x4 screw pin bow shackles rated at 3.25 ton and 4.75 ton, in black, white, yellow and orange. Bright colours make a dropped shackle easier to find in grass or mud.

We also stock the Wild Dog 4x4 recovery hitch with a 210mm bow shackle, which fits a standard tow hitch receiver.

Using them safely

Load a shackle in line with the pin, not across its width. Screw the pin fully home, then back it off a quarter turn so it does not seize under load. Never substitute a bolt for a shackle pin.
