Bridle Straps and Bridle Ropes

A bridle connects to both rated recovery points on a vehicle and brings the load together at one central point. This spreads the load across two points instead of one, keeps the pull square, and gives a central attachment for a winch line or kinetic rope.

What we stock

Bridle ropes: 8mm (8 ton), 10mm (10 ton) and 12mm (14 ton).

Bridle straps: 60mm webbing in 8 ton and 12 ton.

Setting up

Connect each leg to a rated recovery point with a soft shackle, remove any twists before loading, and keep the angle between the legs as narrow as practical — a wide angle increases the load on each leg.
