Soft Shackles

Wild Dog 4x4 describes its soft shackles as safer and lighter than conventional steel bow shackles. They connect a strap or rope to a recovery point without a steel pin, and will not chip paint or damage a recovery point.

What we stock

Wild Dog 4x4 soft shackles in 8 ton, 12 ton and 16 ton, plus Extreme versions in 12 ton and 16 ton. Manufactured in South Africa.

Using them

Loosen the loop and slip it off the knot to open. Thread it through the eye of your kinetic rope or strap and through the recovery point, then loop the eye back over the knot and pull tight. Check your owner's manual for the correct recovery points, and never attach to a bumper, a tow ball or a sharp-edged tow point.

Care

Rinse with water and air dry. Inspect for wear, fraying or cuts before every use and replace anything damaged. Prefer steel? See our bow shackles.
